These are my thoughts. It is my intention and hope that they not contradict what has already been established. In only a few places will I include methods<\/a>. This is also an exercise in communication (i.e. in general).<\/p>\n

I wonder what the words of Lech Lecha <\/em>mean; in four chapters between two parts:<\/p>\n

Part 1<\/h3>\n
First<\/strong><\/h5>\n

The text tells us that Avram was told to\u00a0lech lecha<\/em> from his land, birthplace, household to a land he would be shown, that he travelled as far as Schem<\/em>, as far as\u00a0alon morah<\/em>, that (due during a famine) Avram departed for Egypt and asked Saray to say she was his sister.<\/p>\n

Second<\/strong><\/h5>\n

We know that\u00a0aretz<\/em> (land) is everything qua not-heaven (shamayim<\/em>). We know this from\u00a0ele toldot shamayim va-aretz<\/em>, which have been explained as being an initial creation that contained everything else. Also many places where it is described as the place of work. \u00a0*Check who says that first point.<\/span><\/p>\n

My understanding of birthplace (mimoladetcha<\/em>) is by reference to Yaakov<\/em> and Esav<\/em>, from which we learn that (normally) it is one’s birth that define’s what one’s purpose will be.<\/p>\n

My understanding of\u00a0household\u00a0(beit-avicha<\/em>) is by reference to the\u00a0beit<\/em> of the Kohen Gadol in the halachot of Yom Kippur, which means his wife, and the woman as the\u00a0bina<\/em> (wisdom) of a family\/culture in kabbalah.<\/p>\n

My understanding of\u00a0Schem<\/em> is by way of Ramban<\/em>, who references the activities of Levi and Shimon, which in turn I understand by way of the blessing which Yaakov<\/em> gave to his sons in adddition to the absence of those sons in the final blessing of Moshe<\/em>, along with the heritage of the tribe of Levi in the land of Israel.<\/p>\n

My understanding of\u00a0alon morah<\/em> includes the explanations of Ramban (???) regarding this being outside the communities of the Cna’anim.<\/p>\n

Third<\/strong><\/h5>\n

My understanding of the words\u00a0lech lecha<\/em> begins from an unusual position, but reveals itself to be a bridging between Rashi and Chazkuni (??? re 3 reasons) and Or Hachayim (on Sarai).<\/p>\n

Fourth<\/strong><\/h5>\n

My (separate) additions to Or Hachayim<\/em> are not necessary for what comes before. But stem from Ramban on\u00a0korban kipur\u00a0<\/em>(in\u00a0Vayikra<\/em>), and apply his explanations of\u00a0zot\u00a0<\/em>onto the use of the word by\u00a0Adam\u00a0<\/em>to express the creation of\u00a0Isha<\/em> and how that transcends into the\u00a0zot\u00a0<\/em>of the\u00a0brit olam<\/em> with Noach (which Rashi had linked in\u00a0Vayikra<\/em>).<\/p>\n

Part two<\/strong><\/h3>\n

Will be told as a reflection of part one. Explaining everything there, but phenomenologically.<\/p>\n

First<\/strong><\/h5>\n

How to make space for Judaism within our mind. Basically and very simply and very accessibly.<\/p>\n

Second<\/strong><\/h5>\n

How to understand the areas in the mind which are made accessible<\/p>\n

Third<\/strong><\/h5>\n

The architecture of the chaf sofit in these contexts. Don’t explain in terms of letters. Too distracting and not necessary.<\/p>\n

Fourth<\/strong><\/h5>\n

NOT TO BE EXPLAINED. Instead explain what this means in terms of time, Torah<\/em>, and self.<\/p>\n

Epilogue<\/strong>.<\/h3>\n

Re-tell what was said in part 2 chapter 4: What it means to wake up a Jew today.<\/p>\n
