Once I was in\u00a0Fiji, at a village called W\u2013 which sits above the\u00a0Sigatoka river. Those incredible vistas were framed by\u00a0kasava\u00a0(food),\u00a0suki\u00a0(tobacco rolled into very thin and long sticks),\u00a0kava\u00a0(a relaxing, albeit not very tasty drink) and\u00a0ganja. I was told that\u00a0I\u00a0should always have an even number of\u00a0smokes. It’s possible that they were having\u00a0fun with me\u00a0– it’s very easy to\u00a0convince\u00a0a person to have just one more hit of the bong, after which they are reminded to have “just one more” to make it even. I doubt that it has any more\u00a0significance\u00a0than\u00a0what I’ve already said, but I don’t care because it was such\u00a0a beautiful place.
